CRTLE Service Learning Workshop: My Life as an Engaged Scholar

April 9 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Dr. Marybeth Lima, Biological and Agricultural Engineering Department Chair at LSU, shares her 20+ year journey in service-learning and civic engagement in engineering through the LSU Community Playground Project, a cooperative effort in planning and building playgrounds with local communities.

We know experiential learning is important to students’ future success — the hallmarks of the UTA Maverick Advantage program. As we continue to implement this campus-wide program and our Maverick Advantage Faculty Engagement (MAFE) program within CRTLE this interactive session will share examples of how to tie coursework and assignments to opportunities beyond the classroom and build important critical thinking skills.

RSVP here and a link to join the sessions will be emailed.
